Born in 1986 in Yunnan, Li Gang lives and works in Beijing. He approaches artistic practice as the construction of vessels for emotional and spiritual preservation. Engaging the intrinsic "language" of everyday materials, he explores their latent meanings and expressive potential, seeking points of intersection with artistic language. Through this process, he deciphers and translates the originating information and self-expression embedded in the development of things, transforming them into singular forms capable of carrying and preserving emotion and spiritual resonance. Through an intuitive sensitivity to material, Li highlights the inner tension and vitality of matter, seeking a balance between form and content while probing the boundaries of art and perception.
