Shenzhen Biennale of Contemporary Art is a large-scale art exhibition project initiated in 2015. It is based locally in Shenzhen and revolves around contemporary art in the Pearl River Delta region. This infant project, still in the stage of constant adjustment, change and development, is trying to create a more distinctive and inclusive mechanism of exhibition and exchange with flexibility and openness, connect Shenzhen with the Pearl River Delta region, China, Asia and even with the globe in culture and art, and to discuss the contemporary art of a region in the global framework of contemporary art.
