Liang Yu holds multiple national positions, including Committee Member of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Director of the China Artists Association, Vice Director and Secretary-General of the Watercolor Art Committee, Researcher at the China National Academy of Painting, and Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Artists Association.

Nine of his works have been selected six times for the 7th to 14th National Exhibition of Fine Arts, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the China Artists Association. Over thirty works have been included in major exhibitions, including the China Art Festival's Exhibition of Outstanding Fine Art Works, among other significant presentations in China and internationally.

He has held seven solo exhibitions at institutions including the National Art Museum of China and Shanghai Art Museum. His works are held in the collections of major institutions such as the National Art Museum of China, Shanghai Art Museum, and Hubei Museum of Art, and have been featured by leading media, including People's Daily, Xinhua Digest, and China Central Television.
