Born in 1970, Chen Xiangbing holds a Master of Fine Arts. He is a professor and Deputy Director at the School of Arts, Shenzhen University, Founding Dean of the School of Fine Arts and Design, and Director of Shenzhen University Art Museum. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a council member of the Guangdong Artists Association, Vice Chairman of the Shenzhen Artists Association, and Director of the Oil Painting Committee of the Shenzhen Artists Association.

His works have been selected for over ten national exhibitions, including the 11th and 12th National Exhibition of Fine Arts, the 4th National Youth Fine Arts Exhibition, and the 5th Beijing International Art Biennial. He has received the Academic Award at the 2nd Asia Biennale, Gold and Silver Awards at the 12th and 13th Guangdong Art Festivals, and over ten other awards including the Outstanding Works Award at the 1st and the 2nd National Oil Painting Exhibition for Middle-aged and Young Artists.
