Born in 1994, China. Lives and works in Shenzhen. Cheng received his MFA from California College of the Arts (CCA) and was awarded the Murphy & Cadogan Contemporary Art Award. Centered on oil painting, his practice explores the relationship between urban space and visual memory. Through layers, arcs, and color fields, Cheng constructs a pictorial structure of overlay and reorganization, where rational order and emotional traces coexist. His works reveal a nuanced tension between control and chance, reflecting an ongoing meditation on time, memory, and perception.
