Zhao Xiaodan completed both her undergraduate and master's studies in printmaking at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and currently lives and works in Dongguan, Guangdong Province. She mainly works across silkscreen, paper, and water-based materials. Her work consistently explores the relationship between the collective and the individual within the context of contemporary culture. She aims to use a diverse artistic language to subtly present the survival states of individuals against the larger environment and her reflections on them.
