URBANUS都市实践创建合伙人、主持建筑师，纽约州注册建筑师、英国皇家特许注册建筑师；20余年来专注于中国当代城市语境下的建筑、城市设计及研究。多个建成作品成为城市文化与生活地标，获重要建筑奖项，在世界各地参展及发表，被香港M+、纽约MoMA永久收藏。作品包括大芬美术馆、金威啤酒厂改造、南头古城保护与更新、OCT当代艺术中心& 华侨城创意文化园改造、招商局历史博物馆、罗湖美术馆、雅昌艺术中心、华•美术馆、深业上城 LOFT、南方科技大学图书馆&体育馆，中广核大厦、粤海文体中心、葫芦院–北京銮庆胡同37号、土楼公舍、广州蒙圣住宅改造等。  

孟岩还主持了多项城市设计研究，积极探索未来高密度城市建筑类型、深圳城中村有机更新以及北京旧城历史街区保护与更新。

Meng Yan is Founding Partner and Principal of URBANUS Architecture & Design Inc. He is a licensed architect in New York State and a member of the RIBA Chartered Architect. He has focused on architectural design, urban planning, and research in the context of contemporary Chinese cities over two decades. Many of MENG Yan's built works have become new landmarks of urban cultural life, won prestigious awards, exhibited and published worldwide, and been collections of M+(HK), MoMA NY. His selected works include Dafen Art Museum, Kingway Brewery Renovation, The Preservation and Regeneration of Nantou Old Town, OCT Contemporary Art Terminal-B10, OCT-LOFT Renovation, China Merchants Group History Museum, Luohu Art Museum, Artron Art Center, OCT Art & Design Gallery, SHUM YIP UpperHills LOFT, Library and Gymnasium of South University of Science and Technology, CGN Headquarters Building, Yuehai Culture and Sports Center, Quad of Gourd–No.37 Luanqing Hutong, Tulou Collective Housing, The Renovation of Guangzhou Mengsheng House, etc.

Meng Yan also leads research works on high-density urban building typologies, Shenzhen Urban Village regeneration, and the preservation of Beijing historical area.
